Amy was born in Creswell, Oregon, whelped by breeder Shannon Sheldon, Amy is from working German Shepherd lines. Her sire is Boris V Lelbacher Hexenteich Sch3, FH, W.P.O., A.D., T.D. and dam Pashka V Grunheide Sch3. Boris is a Wicko V Meran son and Paskha is a daughter of Gringo V Deufringer Schloss, SchH3, IPO3, FH2. This breeding was the result of using frozen semen.
At 7 weeks old Amy punctures ping-pong balls, likes to chase tennis balls and carry them around, and when confronted with a mechanical toy dog grabbed it by the head with a full firm grip and carried it as it continued making barking noises and movements; and of course, the tail tells a tale......
At 4 months of age Amy is tracking, doing motivational sits-downs-recalls, article searches and downing as an indication,
retrieving sticks-balls-dumbbells, swimming, and is generally a hellion.

On December 17, 2005 Amy entered the Clackamas Schutzhund Club trial and received 59 out of 60 points in the obedience portion of the BH examination from SV Judge Franz Dorr.
In September 2006 Amy entered the Willamette Valley Sch Club trial for her Sch1 title and received passing scores in tracking 81 and obedience 91, unfortunately during the protection examination the helper stepped on her foot and she came off the bite limping so the test was ended due to injury.
On June 8th, 2007 Amy entered the UScA. H.O.T. ( Handler Owner Trained ) competition for the 2007 National Obedience Championship at the Cascade Schutzhund Club in Tenino, Wa., competing against one Sch2 and 3 Sch3's, and came in First Place
receiving the very nice trophy shown below..

On Ocotber 6, 2007 Amy entered the Rose City trial and received her OB2 title. Although she stood for the sit exercise she was awarded 88 points.
On November 3, 2007 Amy entered the Twin County Schutzhund Club trial in Yelm, Wa. and received her SchH1 title with 92SG tracking, 96V obedience, and 80 points in protection after way too many "out" commands.( Did she have Fun)
2008 Amy indicated she had an injury which caused her to not want to jump up for a grip. After vet examinations and chiropractic adjustments for unknown specific problems she was semi-retired for the year to see if she would recuperate.
On April 19, 2009 Amy entered the Cascade Schutzhund Club DVG trial in Tumwater, Wa. and received her SchH2 title with 80 tracking, 79 obedience, and 95SG protection. With too much energy and not enough concentration she was able to complete the tracking phase, circling several times on the second leg before settling and finding the second corner and last leg of the track.(wasn't sure we were going to make it????) Obedience would have been better except she decide to stand not sit, and returned with the dumbbell thrown over the jump by coming back over the wall. ( never did that before) But she excelled in protection even though she missed searching one blind so all the other stuff was forgotten; great day.
On August 15/16, 2009 Amy enters the Pacfic Northwest Regional Championship in Rochester, Wa. where her first track was laid to close to another track so a second track was laid later in the day and she received 85 points with too much enthusiasm and circling again. Obedience was very well done and she received 91 points and highest obedience score in the trial. But protection was another story with two commands to out on the escape and too many out commands on the long courage test when the helper was unable to lock-up. So she was DQ'd for no out and received no scoring.
On September 26, 2009 Amy entered the Willamette Valley club trial in Woodburn, Or. and received another SchH2 title with 90 points tracking but again some circling; she can do better. Obedience was very well done with 95 points high in trial and protection was 88 points high in trial. Unfortunately she did not grip hard on the courage test and slid off the bite on the catch & spin but came directly back into the helper
for another grip and a clean out with guarding & barking. Total score was 273 points High in Trial. On to SchH3 ..........

On May 8, 2010 Amy entered the Cascade Schutzhund club trial in Tumwater, Wa. and received her first SchH3 title with 93SG tracking, 96V obedience, and 81 protection for a total of 270SG. She had a little problem on the escape grip, bit the helper in the butt, then back, and finally got the sleeve.
Always something to work on but hopefully the first of many SchH3 titles.

On June 12, 2010 Amy entered the Allgemeiner Sport Klub trial in Battleground, Wa. where she scored
100V tracking, 90SG obedience, and 92SG protection for a total 282SG score.
On April 24, 2011 after a lengthy delay training and trialing Amy entered the Cascade Club trial in Tumwater, Wa. and received another SchH3 title with 90 points tracking not indicating the second article, 88 points in obedience not sitting on the motion exercise, and 82 points protection with way to many out commands again. But she did grip helper A.J. immediately on the escape this time (not in the butt) so back to regularly training again.
On July 23, 2011 Amy entered the first Working Dutch Shepherd trial of the Cascade Club in Tumwater, Wa. where she scored 285 points and was High in Trial. Interesting circumstances occurred in tracking, a good reason why we say the dog will indicate the articles because she sat at each article contrary to her training which is downing on the articles.
But the track was worked well and she received 94 points. We'll never know what was going on in her mind; my dogs never done that before.
Obedience was excellent except for some crooked sits in the finish and hitting the wall on the return retrieve and she received 96 points.
Protection started with her being redirected to blind 5, she was running towards the jumps, and two redirects to blind 6 but once she started the hold and bark she looked good
after that until the end; grips were full and she outed with one command - 95 points. Maybe all the training for sits carried over into tracking but for sure all the training for outs paid off.
Amy was also High in Trial Tracking and Obedience and received the nice trophies shown below.
Thank you Mc Kenzie River Schutzhund training group for all your help to reach this level of performance.

On September 24, 2011 Amy entered the UScA PNW Regional Championship in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho where she scored 83 points tracking in conditions never experienced before. The field was burnt grass
with beginning regeneration about 3-4 inches tall, very nice considering the surrounding brown fields in September. But the wind was blowing about 20-30 MPH. She worked the track well but made
several circles on the second leg and corner incurring big point losses. She did indicate all of the articles correctly this time. Obedience the next day and she did very good scoring
95 points; again some faulty finishes. Protection was not her best as she did not display much power and did not grip the sleeve on the long bite, came flying off the sleeve bouncing around
the ground, but she immediately re-engaged the helper and did all the outs with one command. The basic performance was correct but the spirit of the test was less than needed for high scores and she
only received 80 points. Amy received the very nice wall plaques shown below for High in Trial obedience and
High in Trial H.O.T. (handler owner trained) dog.

On November 19, 2011 Amy entered the South Valley Working Dog Club DVG trial in Eugene, Oregon where she scored 96 points tracking,
95 points obedience High in Trial, and 97 points protection High in Trial for a total score 288 High in Trial. This was the last schutzhund trial for her and she performed extremely well closer to home and with her home town helper.
Definitely redeemed herself from the previous trial score.
Shown below is the very nice trophy she received for her last hoorah.
